Position: Graduate Assistant for Student Life Education & Leadership

Position Overview: As a Graduate Assistant for Student Life, the GA will be directly involved in the co-oversight of leadership efforts throughout the university student life departments, the management of Ignite, and the collection of data. Applicant must be enrolled or plan to enroll in a Graduate program at Concordia St. Paul.

Start date: August 1, 2024

Essential Duties:

Leadership: Co-lead the Ignite Leadership Certificate Program for undergraduate students
Facilitate monthly leadership program workshops
Serve as a resource and mentor for students interested in joining the Ignite Leadership Certificate Program
Organize marketing and outreach for the Ignite Leadership Certificate Program and other Student Life programs
Help coordinate and attend the fall leadership retreat (October)
Track leadership program data in student engagement software and advise students who are close to graduation
Assist in the assessment of the Ignite Leadership Program
Collaborate with Student Life team on Student Life Educational Weeks and other campus events
Assist with training, planning, and goal setting with club leaders
Other duties as assigned Administration Develop and implement assessment efforts that track CSP-specific retention data
Assess leadership program activities and workshops
Network with students, faculty, staff, and external entities to identify methods for Leadership Development modules to be incorporated on campus
Collaborate closely with the Learning Management System department on campus to integrate Leadership Development modules
Education & Experience:
Must be enrolled in a Graduate Program at Concordia University, St. Paul
Experience in leadership development of college students
Experience leading peers in a campus leadership position
Additional Details:
12-15 hours a week, 4 hours of office hours included
You will be given a $2,500 stipend per academic year

Depending upon qualification, need, and availability, this position may be eligible for housing on campus if able to serve on the Residence Life Pro-Staff on-call crisis response rotation. Furnished housing would be provided in one of our on-campus residence halls. Estimated value for the 2024-2025 academic year is $4,500-$6,000 per semester, depending on the type of housing assigned
Graduate program compensated through tuition payment (valued at $17,100-$26,250 - program based)
