AWS Cloud Engineer - Chinese Linguist

Position Description:

The successful candidate must be a certified AWS cloud engineer.  Duties may include:  Assist in creation and maintenance of restricted cloud environments for HLT tool deployment; provide project-based technical support as required; facilitate unit and enterprise-wide technology rollouts; train linguists in the use of HLT; assist in troubleshooting foreign language content issues related to triage, translation, transcription, interpretation, and localization; validate new features in CAT tools, translation memories (TMs) servers, and HLT tools, manage the collection, classification and updating of IMs; identify commercial tools for localization potential, identifying key points to be considered during the localization process; automate file analysis, parsing, and filtering; write scripts and/or macros in various programming languages to automate repetitive tasks; prepare file type for the localization process (including re-coding and script writing) ensuring compliance with data integrity requirements; provide estimates on project upon request; work closely with customers technology providers to:

  • Collect requirements from stakeholders and end users; provide documentation and training to users.
  • Define new features and improvements of the software products; provide test cases for quality assurance.
  • Report and test fixes for bugs found by product users.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent (4 years or more of on-the-job-experience in the specific HLT field)

Testing Requirement:  Chinese Journeyman Level

Required Skills:  Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
