Job Description:

Under limited supervision, this position performs duties such as enforcing farmers’ market rules and regulations:

·        Provide services to farmers, dealers, and the public in the sale of produce

·        Assisting in the maintenance, sanitation, and security at the Augusta State Farmers Market

·        Inspecting produce entering and selling at the Markets.

·        Will work in the shed area in all types of weather conditions monitoring shed tenants and enforcing market rules and regulations.

·        Will work in the office collecting gate fees, shed fees, and weighing trucks at the market scale.

·        Will assist field inspectors with the weekly drop off and pick up of samples.

·        Will work in the office answering the phone and assisting customers.

·        Will be documenting the weekly funds collected and depositing them.

Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

·        Working knowledge of Windows OS as well as Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word, Strong customer service skills.

Physical Demands:

·        Will require spending time outside in the elements in all seasons.

·        The employees will need to dress for the weather.
