Job Description
Customer Service Team members are required for a variety of University and Athletic Department events. Team members fill multiple staffing posts – ushers, guards, & ticket takers - that may vary from event to event and are responsible for providing a safe, fun and memorable environment for our guests. The Customer Service Team serves our fans, supporters, alumni, the university community, media outlets and each other. The staff ensures that events are conducted in a manner consistent with University guidelines, the Pac-12 conference, and NCAA policies and procedures.

Specific Description
This position is a temporary, part-time position for Husky Football Stadium Customer Service Team, which requires availability for seven Husky Football Games in the fall. Opportunities to work other Athletic Department events may be available.

Requirements

Maintain an understanding of the seating layout, building policies, procedures, and specific event information. Act upon all comments and complaints in a prompt and friendly manner. Maintain a positive attitude while managing challenging situations. Uphold professional standards of performance and appearance at all times. Work all home football games

Responsibilities
  • Exceed all guests’ expectations with customer service and satisfaction.
  • The Customer Service Team is WELCOMING, MOTIVATED, KNOWLEDGEABLE, ACCOUNTABLE and GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND.
  • Provide access control, crowd management, and ensure the venue is safe for guests.
  • Understand University of Washington policies and procedures.
  • Understand emergency procedures for both medical and evacuation purposes.

    Specific job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Greeting guests, ushering guests to their seats, resolving guest complaints, collecting lost and found items, assisting with lost children/parents, identifying prohibited items, scanning tickets, and providing assistance whenever necessary.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Customer Service Team handbook and relevant game day information.
  • Attend annual Customer Service Team training sessions.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications
  • 18 years of age or older Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must attend Customer Service Team training prior to first Husky Football game.
  • Must be available for a minimum of six Husky Football game days Ability to stand, sit, walk, and climb stairs throughout the event.
  • Required to occasionally lift 10 lbs., unaided.
  • Experience in event work or other related fields.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Positive attitude toward taking on additional job responsibilities.
  • Good judgment.
  • Authorization to work in the United States of America.
