<br>Position Summary<br>
<br>Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern will be responsible for providing technical support focusing on day-to-day activities that are compliance, safety, or environmental related. The intern will assist the EHS department with projects from scope definition through implementation.<br>
<b>Responsibilities</b>
<br>
<br>Essential Job Functions <ul> <li>Assist in identifying, planning, and leading EHS projects and actions to minimize the risk of incidents.</li> <li>Conduct incident investigations using root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action.</li> <li>Perform risk assessments to evaluate hazardous conditions using hierarchy of controls to develop solutions. </li> <li>Perform weekly inspections of key programs to ensure compliance with EHS policies and procedures.</li> <li>Partner with the Safety Manager on the training and development of facility emergency response team.</li> <li>Assist in the research, design and implementation of EHS programs, plans and procedures guiding regulatory compliance, prevention of undesired consequences and risk reduction strategies.</li> <li>Support data analytics reporting and documentation management.</li> <li>Develop working knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental, health and safety regulations as well as consensus standards.</li> <li>Research and present on industry trends and best practices for EHS disciplines.</li> <li>Understand and manage risks associated with your role and those that impact organizational objectives.</li> <li>Participate in required company meetings. </li> <li>Maintain an organized work area (5S).</li> <li>Participate in the Operational Excellence Program. </li> <li>Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.</li> <li>Complete all other work duties as assigned</li></ul>
<b>Qualifications</b>

<br>Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA's and certifications)<ul> <li>Currently enrolled in BS of Environment Health, Occupational Health & Safety or similar degree program or an Engineering degree. </li> <li>Basic knowledge of environmental, health and safety disciplines.</li> <li>Analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Ability to conduct EHS training to a variety of users in different settings and formats.</li> <li>Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and team building skills to create effective working relationships.</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidential information and comply with policies and procedures.</li> <li>Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</li> <li>Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Attention to detail.</li> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.</li> <li>Ability to prioritize and multitask.</li></ul> Desirable Criteria & Qualifications<br>
<ul> <li>Previous EHS internship experience.</li> <li>Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizations.</li></ul>Physical & Environmental Demands <br>
<br>Cretex Companies use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted on a periodic basis to ensure that all chemicals are kept well below the OSHA permissible exposure levels.<br>
<b>Pay Range</b>
