CLA is looking to hire a Performance Test Engineer to join our growing Internal IT team.
About the role:
As a Performance Test Engineer, you will:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Performance Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Performance Test Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our software applications and systems under varying workloads and conditions. This position involves conducting performance testing, analyzing results, identifying bottlenecks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance.
Essential Job Functions
Conducting comprehensive performance testing and analysis for applications and systems to guarantee peak performance. Identify and address performance bottlenecks, developing effective strategies for resolution.
Collaborating closely with development, architecture, and operations teams to pinpoint and resolve performance issues while implementing performance enhancements.
Developing and executing performance testing plans and methodologies, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
Monitoring system performance metrics, crafting strategies to optimize performance and capacity.
Actively participating in the design and development of new systems and features to ensure they meet performance and scalability standards.
Creating and maintaining automated performance testing frameworks and scripts to streamline testing processes.
Conducting load testing and stress testing to verify that IT systems can effectively handle high traffic and heavy usage scenarios.
Documenting performance test results and effectively communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Developing performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gauge the performance of IT systems and applications.
Generating comprehensive reports and dashboards to effectively communicate performance data to stakeholders.
Contributing to the development of best practices and standards for performance engineering within the organization.
Collaborating with project managers to ensure the inclusion of performance testing in the software development lifecycle.
Staying updated with the latest performance testing tools and techniques to continuously enhance performance engineering practices.
What you will need:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance or software development
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and the capacity to work independently.
Technical Competencies:
Over 3 years of hands-on experience with LoadRunner performance tool, including expertise in TrueClient and web HTTP/HTML protocols.
Proficiency in LoadRunner Cloud is an added advantage.
Knowledge of open-source performance testing tools.
Familiarity with performance testing principles.
Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, etc.
Understanding of web technologies, including HTML and CSS.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
