If you are an experienced Project Manager looking to serve as a Project Lead / Contract Manager on an effort positively impacting U.S. National Security, Amentum is looking for you to join our existing contract with the Navy! We have a full-time position available, supporting Navy spectrum operations efforts in Maryland, Virginia, Florida, California, Washington, Europe, Hawaii, Guam, Japan, etc.
Successful candidates will bring at least 10 years of project/program management experience in a government setting, have strong customer engagement skills, bring experience in performance measures/program assessment and be adept at managing execution of business process focused tasks. The successful candidate will oversee task execution by an existing team and have a demonstrated ability to seek opportunities on behalf of their customers, to drive operational improvement/value delivery, and commit to reaching company’s goals. The candidate will have quality control responsibilities which requires knowledge of Spectrum management and/or Radio-Frequency engineering.
Successful candidates will be able to manage teams working in a hybrid Government site/remote environment. The Project Management role requires on average three days/week at the Government site. This role also requires reporting to the Government site for meetings as needed.
Minimum Experience, Education Licensure, and Skills:
BA/BS degree in engineering, technical discipline, or management from an accredited college or university
10+ years’ experience in program management to include strategy development and alignment, program execution, performance measures, and program assessment to support daily operations
Experience supporting business requirements definition efforts
Experience supporting Federal Government customers
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret US Government clearance; a Top Secret clearance is a plus (Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret and/or Top Secret Clearance)
Preferred Qualifications:
MA/MS degree in engineering, technical discipline, or management from an accredited college or university
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Spectrum Management experience, especially familiarity with Navy programs
Experience in radio frequency (RF) engineering, RF spectrum operations, electromagnetic effects, EMI, or EMC is a plus
Exceptional communication skills with emphasis on effectively communicating detailed analysis and recommendations (both written and verbal).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience producing varied written products and creating and analyzing reports
Strong organization skills
Experience analyzing and overseeing various business processes
Experience performing program financial analysis, strategic program financial planning, and developing Life Cycle Cost analysis for CPFF and FFP type contracts
Experience performing Risk Management and Internal/Quality Control Management
Familiarity with Acquisition Documentation, e.g. SOO, SOW, PWS, QASP
Experience identifying and documenting program management lessons learned.
Experience providing program financial and budget management.
Experience with technical writing (Policies and Procedures, Training Manuals, Templates, CONOPS, SOPs, etc.)
Experience providing administrative assistance (e.g. meeting coordination, maintaining schedules, electronic filing systems)
Experience effectively developing teams/leaders
Experience providing task direction, understanding and supervision to staff
Experience ensuring quality delivery and prepare executive-level briefings, reports, and documents
