Aerotek CNC Machinist in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Job Title: 3 Axis Mill Machinist
Located: North Minneapolis
Hours/Shift: 1st shift 6am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs
We are seeking a skilled 3 Axis Mill Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience operating and setting up 3 axis milling machines, and should be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The 3 Axis Mill Machinist will be responsible for producing high-quality machined parts according to customer specifications, and will be required to perform routine maintenance on the milling machines as needed.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate 3 axis milling machines to produce high-quality machined parts
Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements
edit CNC programs using G-Code and/or CAM software
Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and other accessories as required
Monitor machine operation and adjust machine settings as needed to ensure part quality and adherence to specifications
Perform routine maintenance on milling machines and other equipment as needed
Document all work performed, including measurements, adjustments, and tool changes
Work with other team members to troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience operating and Setting up 3 axis milling machines
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
Proficiency in using CAM software and/or G-Code programming
Experience with setting up and adjusting cutting tools, fixtures, and other accessories
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
