SRF has a dedicated, talented team ofproject managers, writers, benefit-cost analysis professionals, technical specialists, and researchers to meet the grant development needs of our clients. Our Team works on a wide variety of grant applications and collaborates with a diverse group of planners, engineers, and designers to explore positive outcomes. As a lead grant writer, you will be responsible for managing our funding opportunities and writing grant applications to secure funding for important transportation infrastructure projects. This position can be based in our Minneapolis, St. Paul, MN; Madison, WI; Chicago, IL, or Fargo/Bismarck, ND offices. SRF offers a hybrid work model that allows our staff to work fromthe officefull-time or work part-time in the office and remotely.
Responsibilities:
Manage and support our funding and grants service to secure grant opportunities for government and non-government agencies.
Provide strategic advice and guidance to our clients on which funding opportunities are the best fit for their project.
Prepare and write grant applications and supporting documents based on the requirements of the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO).
Respond to internal and external queries on potential funding opportunities and applications.
Evaluation of data and technical analyses to prepare the necessary supporting documentation that highlights the project's strengths and benefits.
Collaborate with a broad team of planners, engineers, and designers to explore and identify solutions and recommendations.
Qualifications:
Interest in meaningful and inclusive planning processes and outcomes.
Bachelor's or master's degree in English, communications, transportation planning, or similar field.
5+ years of experience in grant or report writing.
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
Project or major task management experience.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Shows initiative in taking leadership roles on projects.
Strong facilitation skills for project and team meetings.
Strong research skills and knowledge of information sources.
Ability to study and understand funding programs and requirements.
Collaborative and enthusiastic attitude.
Desire to attain AICP certification is a plus.
