Physical Properties Technician - 2nd Shift

Find your place at Pace Join us as a Physical Properties Technician, where you'll put your love of science to work in the Scientific Insourcing Solutions division. You'll receive all the training you need to successfully take on your new role and grow an exciting laboratory sciences career at Pace. This cross-functional candidate will prepare samples for analysis; analyze and interpret results using AFM and other techniques NOTE: This position is 2nd Shift (2pm-10pm)
RESPONSIBILITIES
What you'll do Running chemical-mechanical planarization equipment Assembling silicon wafers for testing Prepare samples by diamond saw, metallography and mechanical polishing Analyze samples by confocal laser scanning microscopy Analyze samples by Atomic Force Microscopy Analyze samples by supporting techniques including optical interferometry General lab maintenance duties
QUALIFICATIONS
What you'll bring Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or related field with lab courses, including chemistry courses Must have taken a Statistics course, preferably including use of statistics software Experience with microtomy and nanoidentation Experience with microscopes, Atomic Force Microscopes (AFM) preferred Time management skills and a high level of independence after the training phase Good organizational skills, record keeping, and follow through will be integral to success Ability to communicate effectively verbally and by email Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel Able to lift 50 lbs multiple times daily, to put objects onto a cart for transportation What we promise Comprehensive benefit program, including medical, vision and dental insurance, 401(k) matching and a tuition reimbursement program Opportunities to build a rewarding career An inclusive culture that stands for integrity, innovation and growth About Pace
