Maxus Excavating is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic
to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for
inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of heavy equipment such
as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes.
Responsibilities:
• Inspect and diagnose mechanical problems in heavy equipment, including
engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, including replacing
worn or damaged parts, lubricating engines and other moving parts, and
adjusting and aligning parts.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
• Use hand and power tools to disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment
components.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge of heavy equipment.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
