The Executive Director of the CIRCLE Office (Center for International Relations & Cultural Leadership Exchange) oversees programs and services to all UW International Students, in collaboration with key offices and stakeholders on campus. This position requires an understanding of multiple cultures, norms, expectations, traditions of foreign countries and how those interplay with American culture. Further, this position serves as lead contact with a key number of campus stakeholders, sponsors, and community partners. This position is an opportunity for a dynamic leader to shape the next phase of international student programs at the University of Washington—Seattle. The Executive Director of the CIRCLE Office will be responsible for the coordination, development and implementation of programs and services that support International students on campus. The position provides direct service to the international student population on a broad range of issues that affect students' experience at the University, including but not limited to, navigating the intricacies of U.S. higher education system, health and wellness, and cultural adjustment. This position collaborates with an array of institutional stakeholders to other departments on campus to help facilitate a successful transition for international students. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Program Management Supervision This position supervises professional staff and graduate and undergraduate student staff. Liaison Student Support Stewardship Volunteer Development/Engagement Supervisory Responsibilities: This position directly supervises the Associate and Assistant Directors and the Student Transitions and Strategic Communications Coordinators.
