The company was incorporated in 1995 as Elwood Consulting Company. In 1997 the name was changed to Elwood Staffing Services, Inc. to more accurately reflect what had become the major business activity of the company. Elwood Staffing was honored in 1997 and 1998 by the Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Indiana University as one of the 100 fastest growing companies in Indiana. Today, Elwood Staffing is one of the largest and most respected staffing companies in all of Indiana.

Awards & Recgonition
October, 2005 - The Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business named Elwood Staffing a finalist for its Entrepreneurial Award of Distinction in the Growth category. Companies were also recognized in the categories of Entrepreneurial Spirit and Innovation.
September, 2005 - Staffing Industry Analysts, Inc. of Los Altos, California, ranked Elwood Staffing Services as the 12th fastest-growing private staffing company in America. Companies were ranked on their growth over the 2001 to 2004 timeframe. Elwood Staffing was the only representative from Indiana.
August, 2005 - Indianapolis Business Journal ranked Elwood Staffing as the 4th Largest Temporary Employment Service in the greater Indianapolis- area. Companies were ranked on 2004 performance data for Indianapolis and the surrounding counties. The 25 largest companies made the list out of some 225 competitors.
