Fiber Instrument Sales, Inc., the recognized leader in manufacturing fiber optic cable, connectors, enclosures, and related components and assemblies used world-wide in the telecommunications industry has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a full-time ACCOUNTING CLERK at its Oriskany, NY manufacturing headquarters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Accounting Clerk will assist our team in preparing AP and/or AR transactions, processing customer payments, creating invoices and providing support for other financial, administrative, and clerical services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Process accounts and payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
* Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording AR/AP data.
* Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.
* Verify discrepancies and resolve customer billing issues.
* Facilitate payment of invoices due to sending bill reminders and contacting customers
Qualifications:
* Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work independently.
* Strong communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite products.
Education:
* High school graduate (minimum)
* Associate Degree with related coursework preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $15.00/hour.
IMPORTANT: Wage rate will be commensurate with position, shift worked, experience, education, and required skill level.
