JOB REQUIREMENTS: Rock Valley Community Programs, Inc. (RVCP) operates
several programs, including Harpers Place. Harpers Place is a 15 bed
residential unit, 24 hour hospital diversion program that serves adults
18+ who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Staff are trained to
work in partnership with clients, their families, and their providers to
help them experience hope for achieving recovery. Behavioral Health
Technicians (BHT) provide direct care for adults experiencing a mental
health crisis by residing in a short term residential facility. (CBRF).
They will be supervised under licensed mental health professionals and
will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team- including case
manager, clinical director, RN, and psychiatrist. HARPERS Stands for

Required to work a minimum of two shifts per month Supervise client
behaviors and activities at all times, monitor physical and emotional
well-being, and respond to all patient needs and concerns Record
observations regarding client behavior, mental status, and care; report
observations to treatment staff; provide input for treatment plans; and
implement goals of treatment plans Encourage or assist as needed with
personal hygiene care and other activities of daily living Administer
medications and maintain records in accordance with specified procedures
Transport clients to appointments as needed Plan and implement
recreational and educational individual and group activities as assigned
by treatment staff Supervise visitation activities, including checking
visitors, checking for contraband, and monitoring behavior during visits
Responsible for keeping work area clean, tidy, and in order Admit and
discharge clients- monitor vital signs such as heart rate and blood
pressure Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Must be 18+ of age
Must be able to complete on the job training for 80 hours in a 2 week
period Must pass TB test, urine drug test, physical test, caregiver and
criminal history background check Must complete a COVID-19 test and
receive negative results prior to start date (Free of cost to potential
employee) Must have a valid driver\'s license Must be low risk driver
