A growing client in research is looking to grow their team with hiring a new Animal Care Tech! If you have experience caring for animals in a veterinary or research field, we’d love to talk to you about this role!
Schedule: M-F 8a-5p w/flexibility
Pay: $21.63/hr
As an Animal Care Technician, you should have husbandry experience, a desire to work in a research environment, a good work ethic, and be content providing care for the animals on study. If you have experience with large animals, rodents, or research, this would be a great fit for you!

Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care to laboratory animals including feeding, watering, and cage cleaning.
- Maintain accurate daily records of animal health as well as all SOP and regulatory required documents.
- Sanitize animal rooms, cages, and other equipment to maintain a healthy environment for animals.
- Operate sanitizing equipment, environmental housing equipment and research related equipment.
- Transfers animals and animal identification to clean caging/racks, and materials from storage to work areas.
- Transports laboratory equipment and materials to and from rooms.
- Observes animals twice daily and reports abnormal findings.
- Interpret medical orders, accurately calculate pharmacologic doses and administer medications.
- Assist with the transport and receipt of animals
- Review and evaluate medical records, research data for accuracy
Education/Experience:
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Minimum of 1 year with lab animal exp or veterinary exp.
- Immunizations are required for this position (Tetanus, Hepatitis B, Smallpox, Polio, and Influenza.)
