Job Description
Job Overview:
This position provides quality service to patients through accurately gathering demographics and insurance information, scheduling appointments, answering, handling and screening incoming telephone calls; greeting and registering patients. In addition, this position is responsible for check-out functions, including review of encounter form data, collection of co-payments, scheduling follow-up appointments; completing daily bank deposit; day-end reconciliation duties. Some locations also require this position to complete charge/receipt-entry and charge-receipt summaries for all office-related services.
This position also serves as a direct contact to the manager and a mentor to the front desk staff. Provides process changes keeping the front desk up to date.
Job Requirements:
High School Degree
Knowledge of medical office and computer knowledge
3-4 years experience medical/physician office setting
