JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The Department of Criminal Justice &
Social Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites
applications for a Lecturer in Political Science who specializes in
American politics. Candidates must be able to teach Introduction to
American Government and Constitutional Law as well as some of our other
such as Introduction to Public Policy, American Political Parties and
Interest Groups, State and Local Government, Civil Liberties, and Women,
Gender, and Politics. This is a full-time position with an anticipated
start date of August 2024. Salary range of \$38,000 - \$41,000
commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities: Teach
multiple existing political science courses. The typical teaching load
is 5 courses per semester (5/5). Ability to engage modern pedagogy to
teach undergraduate students through a classroom settings. Ability to
effectively interact and collaborate with colleagues to complete
department tasks (attend meetings, reply to emails, patriciate in
department events, etc.) and goals. Develop new courses in your
particular area of interest. What You\'ll Need to Succeed: Master\'s
degree or higher in Political Science or a related field from an
accredited university. Strong commitment to undergraduate education in a
liberal arts environment. Excellent oral and written communication
skills. Ability to interact with industry, enthusiasm for professional
engagement with students in and out of the classroom. Ability to work
