The service sees close to 100 new canine patients yearly for trials and over 900 appointments annually. The team supports an active biorepository, collecting and biobanking samples from all clinical trials cases, as well as harvesting postmortem brain tissue, muscle, and other biospecimens. Colorado State University’s Translational Medicine Institute is a brand new 130,000 square foot high-tech innovation hub located adjacent to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, with the vision of bringing together academicians, inventors, and entrepreneurs to discover and deliver translational research to improve the lives of animals and humans.
