Position Summary
Responsible for strategic estimating of Door, Frame, Hardware packages for
large-capital commercial construction projects accurately and on time.
Duties & Responsibilities
Read and interpret contract documents, including but not limited to scope of
work, requests for proposal, project schedules, drawings/details,
specifications, and opening schedules to form bid strategies and keeping Sales
Manage risk by finding discrepancies and communicate/clarify issues through
RFIs and/or document in clarification letter in a timely manner
Identify and develop opportunities for value engineering by defining
alternatives to the proposed scope that are more cost-efficient
Prepare detailed take-off and estimates utilizing Bluebeam and MS Excel
exports of door schedules for importing into Comsense
Enter door and frame attributes and hardware sets for manufacturer RFQs for
pricing in Comsense
