Job Summary | College of Lake County is currently looking for Adjunct Faculty for English Composition to join their team. This position requires teaching ENG 121 (English Composition I) and/or ENG 122 (English Composition II). Furthermore, the department offers a corequisite support Composition program, the Accelerated Learning Program (ALP), aimed at providing focused reading and writing support for Composition I students seeking more instructor guidance in college-level reading and writing tasks. The preferred candidate for this position will prioritize and focus on teaching these ALP classes and learning outcomes, which would include the corequisite course ENG 100. This is not a remote/online position; we are seeking candidates available to teach face-to-face courses. Instructors are needed at the Lakeshore Campus (Waukegan), Southlake Campus (Vernon Hills), and the main campus in Grayslake. Instructors must plan and prepare a course syllabus, teach all scheduled classes, and respond to and evaluate student work. Why choose the College of Lake County for your next opportunity?
