and honing capabilities. What does the job involve? Under minimal
supervision, performs a variety of tasks which require a knowledge of
inspection techniques, tools, materials, and measuring equipment,
including electronic and/or mechanical measuring instruments. What will
my responsibilities include? Visually inspect all surfaces of parts for
nicks, dents, damage, scaring or other physical defects that can render
the parts unacceptable. Determine pass/fail of parts during in-process
inspection based on specifications, prints, and Inspection Instructions.
Use of variable gages including but not limited to: Micrometers,
Calipers, Indicators, Snap Gages, Dorsey Gages, Bore Gages, Depth Gages,
Height stands, Comparators, Dow Gages, Diatest Gages, Johnson Gages. Use
of attribute gages including, but not limited to: Go/NoGo Gages, Pin
Gages, Thread Gages Review parts to determine if previous deburring
operations were completed correctly. Utilize Microscopes with up to 10X
Magnification to verify parts meet print specifications for the
following: Deburr-1 or Deburr-2 Proper Edge Breaks Clean and smooth
transition on thread Ensure all blind holes are free of debris OD and ID
threads are free of debris Smooth transitions throughout all radii
