Job Summary



Recruits new and/or returning students for Bethel University through identifying, qualifying, and cultivating prospective students.





Responsibilities



Individualized one-to-one recruitment through relationship development and communication with prospective students in specific programs while meeting or exceeding recruitment activity and budget goals.
Process student applications and review files based on admissions requirements. Communicate and record file status to prospective student on a regular basis. Facilitate prospective student's admissions process in a timely and efficient manner through the admissions funnel using recruiting best practices for adult students.
Execute on and off campus recruitment events to create awareness and interest in Bethel's degree programs. Recruitment events include: open houses, information sessions, conferences, partner visits, and college visits.
Collaborate with management team, colleagues, and internal partners to successfully assist prospective students during the application process and provide a seamless admission experience.

Required Skills



Must be a proven self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be detail-oriented and have effective oral and written communication skills.
Must know how to use the appropriate communication tools used in the recruitment process - phone, email, chats, text messaging.
Must be able to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple duties.
Must show a proven ability to manage details.
Must be able to handle sensitive, confidential information in a mature and professional manner.
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and an aptitude for workplace technology. Prior knowledge of Google Workspace and/or Salesforce is a plus as both are utilized extensively during the recruitment process.
Ability to work with students of all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds assisting them with the admissions process.






Experience



Required Experience:
Internship or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience:
2 or more years of post-baccalaureate work experience and training in higher education, marketing, or sales.






Education



Required Education:
Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Education:
Master's degree.






Additional Information



Must be physically able to carry suitcases and large recruiting displays across large parking lots and up and down flights of stairs.
Must be willing to travel and work non-routine hours as needed during certain times of the year. Some weekends and evenings are required for recruiting events.
