What we’re looking for…

The primary responsibilities of the Technical Applications Manager role include serving as the product applications expert and working with our Digital team supporting social media efforts. This role also works closely with R&D, Engineering, Sales, Product Management and Customer Service to provide technical direction and support as needed.

Expectations & Accountabilities …

  • Work closely with the Digital team and our 3rd party platform to answer on-line inquires, social media posts and validate communications before they are sent.

  • Develop content to be used in blogs, trade publications and Oatey’s website.

  • Assist with development and coordination of Oatey’s CEU monthly classes..

  • Assist our Product Managers with product training, display needs and presentation development. Including construction projects for hands on application training.

  • Provide training and technical expertise as needed to Customer Service. Also handle quarterly training for new Oatey hires.

  • Provide back up on Oatey’s claims and QF process as needed.

What you’ll need to be successful…

  • Licensed plumber with five (5) to ten (10) years of plumbing in the residential & commercial construction industries. In-depth knowledge of plumbing code requirements and recognized standards for plumbing products.

  • Demonstrated business acumen typically acquired via a degree in business.

  • Ability to work within timelines and pressure situations, handle multiple and competing priorities, generate fresh ideas and a can-do attitude.

  • Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills, presentation skills, demonstrated analytical abilities, and customer service capabilities. Ability to quickly analyze data and create succinct presentations tailored to the audience at hand.

  • Ability to develop, implement and train on standard operating procedures as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion to sustain changes for the processes changed or developed.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Pro and Microsoft PowerPoint.

  • Ability to Interact with Sales, Marketing, Product and Customer Service regarding how products and plumbing systems work. Assist customers with unmet needs, providing new ideas for products and potential new applications for company products.

  • Licensed Plumber or equivalent job experience.
