Director, Content Creation and Acquisition

Responsibilities



This position is the content creation and acquisition lead for the Enterprise Solutions division. This position will acquire, create, develop, curate, and manage content, while balancing and prioritizing editorial resources in support of in-year budget and multi-year growth strategies. Key to this position is the formation and definition of an editorial team to enhance and oversee content in all product lines, while collaborating with key stakeholders across the organization - in order to serve multiple print and digital outputs, as well as content syndication/licensing opportunities.
Responsible for achieving revenue/margin targets and driving future growth, as part of the Editorial and Knowledge Asset Management leadership team.
Create the strategy, policies, procedures, budget, and operating plans for content creation and acquisition, while collaborating with Enterprise Solutions leadership on the division's overall goals and growth strategies.
Enhance, manage, and (when necessary) decrease the portfolio of content assets, overseeing products and other content throughout their lifecycle
Be a strong partner on special projects, in relation to new business opportunities
Facilitating the selection, placement, and development of new and existing employees - as well as a team of contractors






Qualifications



Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 6 years of publishing experience, including but not limited to acquisitions, author relations, editorial, and digital product development
Excellent communication skills, including knowledge of editing/proofreading rules and guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
3-5 years management/supervisory experience
Master's level or advanced degree
Multi-media content creation and publishing
Digital asset management and/or publishing workflow management
Strong financial acumen with specific background in financial modeling and forecasting
Prior non-profit management experience
