The towns of Colfax and Mingo are located just 25 minutes east of  Des Moines off of I-80, and our school district is a strong community of approximately 750 students from the towns of Colfax, Mingo, Valeria and Ira. We carry out this mission everyday through our vision for learning: to ensure curriculum, instruction, and assessment are student-centered and focused on continuous improvement. Our district is divided into three buildings: Elementary School (K-6), Junior & Senior High School (7-12), and our District Office (Admin Staff). We are also proud to now offer full day preschool at our Elementary as an expanded offering for our Colfax-Mingo CSD families. No matter what building you're in, you'll experience unwavering Tigerhawk Pride.

We're committed to creating the best possible experience for our students and staff for years to come. We've recently completed the now top football field in the state, a brand new gymnasium, wrestling room, weight room, and indoor track.
