Genesis10 is seeking a Business Analyst for a contract with our client in St. Paul, MN.



Job Description:

Local client seeking one (1) Business Analyst to support with problem identification, requirements definition, determination of alternative solutions, and the analysis, design, development, and implementation of solutions and processes.





Key Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst will be filling a role on multiple projects and will be part of the Strategic Planning Office. The candidate will be responsible for:
Working directly with the project team to ensure understanding of the IT solution's requirements, functionality, size, and scalability.
Facilitating meetings with business owners and subject matter experts to identify impacted business processes and document the business requirements.
Analyzing identified problems/gaps to determine whether system changes are required.
Documenting business process improvements for projects to develop a representation of functionality to be used by the business to understand itself better, improve the business system, or design future state business processes to meet the court's needs.
Working with vendors on business and system analysis practices and project requirements.
Performing detailed research when required and reports research findings to the project team.
Creating and documents test cases to ensure the final product meets the business requirements and expectations.
Working with stakeholders to gather and document functional and non-functional requirements to be included in a Request for Proposal (RFP).
Establishing evaluation criteria and scoring methodology for vendor response to Request for Proposal (RFP) to determine the best solution.
Participating in reviewing and scoring RFP responses against the established evaluation criteria.
Consolidating scores and feedback from stakeholders and make recommendation to project team.





Required Basic Qualifications:
Resume must clearly demonstrate the following:
Possession of a bachelor's degree in computer sciences, management information systems, or related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years of significant experience in business and systems analysis.



Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Visio.
CBAP Certification is a plus.
Work experience in a state agency, criminal justice, or other government settings



Preferred skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills emphasizing customer service, decision-making, conflict management, and teamwork
Ability to plan, organize, and perform work with deadlines and minimal supervision
Possession of a broad understanding of technology
Ability to adapt quickly to change.





Compensation:

Hourly W2 pay rate $

We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
