Counselor (FT/Sunday-Thursday 7a-3p or 8-4p)

Responsibilities
*Low Caseload!*

  • Develops individualized treatment and discharge plans for residents
  • Makes referrals, coordinates services, and maintains regular and on-going consultations with other organizations
  • Coordinates the vocational and educational goals of residents
  • Facilities group and individual counseling sessions
  • Supports and encourages resident participation in community self-help groups
  • Assists in the oversight of program medication procedures
  • Conducts breathalyzer and toxicology screenings
  • Facilitates new resident assessments, admissions, and orientations
  • Availabe for on-call coverage when needed
  • Completes documentation per agency requirements
  • Data input and word processing
Requirements
  • Masters Degree in Human Services or related field and a minimum of 6 months counseling experience. Field placement as an intern may be applied to the required counseling experience. Must possess and maintain a current Qualified Health Professional status. Or
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Services or a related field and a minimum of one year counseling experience. Field placement as an intern may be applied to required counseling experience. Must possess and maintain a current Qualified Health Professional status. Or
  • Associates Degree in Human Services or a related field; must possess and maintain a current Qualified Health Professional status and two years counseling experience in the appropriate field. Field placement as an intern may be applied to required counseling experience.

  • Must posses a New York State driver's license with an acceptable driving record


Salary Description
$60,000/Year
