Basic Job Functions:

Directly manages Program Managers and coordinates cross-functional teams associated with technology and product development programs. In addition, leads program management methodology continuous improvement initiatives, efficient investment risk management processes and program execution.

Individually, provides program management for complex cross-functional programs within the product and technology research and development arenas. Develops project plans, interfaces with Development Engineering, Technology, Product Management, Manufacturing, Corporate Engineering, Project Engineering, Quality and Reliability, Supply Chain, Finance, Environmental Health and Safety, and other departments as required.

Education/Experience:


BS Degree in Engineering or related technical field, required.
BS degree Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, preferred.
MS Degree in Engineering Discipline, preferred.
MBA will be considered but must have technology experience.
7+ years' experience in Program Management
1+ years of experience Management of Entry Level Program Managers
5+ years' experience in Research and Development environment providing New Product / Process (development through roll out to high volume manufacturing) Program Management
7+ years' experience using MS Project or equivalent project management tools.
PMP or PgMP certification, required.

Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate others to accomplish objectives and gain desired results.
Demonstrated project management skills in a technology development environment.
Advanced understanding of Quality and Reliability requirements to bring new products or processes to manufacturing.
Advanced negotiation skills to obtain cooperation and commitment to project deliverables.
Advanced skills in all aspects of project planning and execution
Advanced proficiency in project management software - MS Project
Capable of providing program management for greater than 5 projects simultaneously
Communicates clearly, oral and written, across the organization.
Strong assertive characteristics to push projects through to completion.
Partners with stakeholders to coordinate resources, activities, and priorities for rapid project completion.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to assertively motivate project participants.
Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs.

Essential Responsibilities:


Manages directly Program Managers and oversees cross functional teams associated with technology and product development programs.
Leads program management methodology continuous improvement initiatives required for efficient investment risk management and program execution.
Individually, provides program management for complex cross-functional programs and sub-program roll up within the Product and technology research & development arenas.
Independently builds project plans around existing technology project portfolio including timing for related or effected processes and systems.
Takes ownership of overall project schedule; Drives projects to completion on-time and on-budget.
Builds interfaces between organizations to ensure successful hand-offs.
Negotiate project goals and develop mitigation plans.
Manage program review meetings, track action items, and motivate program stakeholders.
Maintain software infrastructure to keep project plans and action items up to date.
Participates in projects for improvements and standardization of Program Management Information Systems and Methodologies
May Hire, Train, and Supervise Entry Level Program Managers

Estimated Annual Salary Range:


$123,000 - $170,000 Estimated Annual Salary Range

US Physical Requirements:


Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift.
Will climb stairs on an occasional basis.
Will lift, push or pull up to 27 pounds on an occasional basis.
Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required.
Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards).
