JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: CRNA (Certified Nurse
Anesthetist) - Pediatrics - Children\'s of Wisconsin Hospital / Medical
College of Wisconsin The Medical College of Wisconsin and Children\'s of
Wisconsin Hospital are seeking a Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to
join its Pediatric Anesthesiology Division. At Children\'s of Wisconsin,
the practice of anesthesiology encompasses a medically directed team
approach involving faculty anesthesiologists, anesthesiology fellows,
residents and advanced practice certified nurse anesthetists and CAAs.
The successful candidate must possess the ability to provide high
quality anesthesia care to a complex pediatric patient population,
working directly under the supervision of our Pediatric
Anesthesiologists and as part of a team of highly trained and dedicated
team of CAAs and CRNAs. Responsibilities: Administer general and local
anesthesia Maintain anesthesia delivery systems and monitors, including
testing and calibration Prepare patients to be effectively monitored
Monitor patients under anesthesia Make recommendations regarding
anesthetic care plans Perform post-procedure tests on patients to ensure
that they are recovering well Responsible for the operation of
anesthesia equipment to monitor patients while delivering direct
anesthesia care. Provide direct patient care before, during and after
anesthesia to ensure continuity of care and quality. Obtain complete
patient medical histories, conducting physical exams, and pre-procedure
interviews Review the complete patient medical history to confirm its
authenticity with the patient/family to ensure it is accurate with the
physical exams and pre-procedure interviews Administer/order required
diagnostic and laboratory tests Work with Anesthesiologists to determine
the next step of prep for the procedures and begin the stages of
prepping the patient for the procedure Employ CPR or other emergency
procedures as indicated Perform varies administrative duties that might
involve collecting medical records, conducting patient chart reviews,
and following up with patients/families pre or post procedures The above
