Job Description:
Regions Hospital is seeking an LADC to work full time, Monday-Friday. No evenings, weekends or holidays!
The Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor will provide substance use screening, brief interventions, and referrals to assessment and treatment for Regions Hospital patients. The counselor will respond to consultation, treatment team, and patient/family requests. The counselor will utilize substance use disorder screening tools, provide time-limited counseling to patients and families, and connect patients to services. The counselor will be responsible for helping patients navigate their insurance benefits and eligibility, will obtain prior authorizations if necessary, and will refer patients to programs/services. The counselor is an active member of the treatment team, providing information to team members responsible for progression of care and proactive discharge planning.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday. No weekends, evenings, or holidays.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or related field andgraduation from an accredited substance use counselor training program.
At least 1 year of substance use disorder counseling experience.
Minnesota Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hospital or medical clinic experience
