Job Description:
Position Purpose
Pro Account Sales Associates are primarily responsible for developing one-on-one relationships with and
selling products to industrial, commercial and other professional customers. They achieve this by
creatively and pro actively pursuing new business and utilizing prospecting to make contact with
customers. Key responsibilities for this position include providing outstanding service to customers
through the sharing of product knowledge of all store departments and developing and maintaining
professional customer relationships paying special attention to customers’ needs and solutions. Pro
Account Sales Associates must have thorough knowledge of all departments and how to use the products
in each department. This position also involves acting as a sales associate on the floor including all
associated duties (e.g., keeping work area clean and organized). Each associate has the responsibility of
providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards,
completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting
conditions to the Manager On Duty, and working safely as not to endanger themselves, co-workers,
vendors, or customers.
