The role.

Manages and defines the product(s), solution(s) and/or service(s) assigned and drives their business performance across the whole product lifecycle.

This position reports to the Research & Technology Manager, and is based out of the Norwood, OH facility.

  • Owns the product(s), solution(s) and/or service(s) assigned with full responsibility for the results, including definition of their customer and market requirements, growth & profit strategies, business planning, road mapping.

  • Constantly observes relevant competitors' product(s), solution(s) and/or service(s).

  • Defines product marketing strategies (product/solution/service, price, placement, promotion).

  • Establishes and synchronizes a cross functional team to realize the development of the product(s), solution(s) and/or service(s) assigned.

  • Drives the business performance of the product(s), solution(s) and/or service(s) in partnership with all partners over the whole process chain (PLM / SCM / CRM).

  • Gives to activities to continuously improve the product lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales/BD to Provide Product Requirements to business

  • Establish Pricing Strategies for product & accessories, challenge overall product costs where vital.

  • Provide Portfolio Management which includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Analyze and identify gaps in the product, work closely with R&D on prioritization for roadmap

  • Collaborate and partner with SCM, PLM, CRM to improve products

  • Develop new product definition and business plans across SCM, PLM, CRM

  • Integrate and align portfolio activities across all HV M

  • Develop, supervise and maintain product portfolio competitive SWOT analysis

  • Build Product Phase Out concept/plan and drive execution with help from cross functional groups

  • Support Product Promotion by initiating, coordinating marketing activities with Marketing & Communications team and other supporting groups (ie: Quotation Tools Team, Application Engineering, Sales, Engineering, etc…). Marketing activity examples: brochures, web, sales tools (product demos – virtual/physical), product images, LinkedIn, etc…

  • Support the Common Market Model (CMM) process for USA motors. Responsible for collecting market information and providing market estimates for CMM USA HV motors.

  • Lead and support the MLFB structure and maintenance of Option Codes for the AboveNEMA product in collaboration with Engineering, Purchasing, and Finance among others.

  • Provide subject matter content for Sales Training

  • Support and partner with Regions to promote and sell AboveNEMA motors.

Your profile.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of Innomotics AboveNEMA products

  • Market/customer knowledge and proven understanding of motor/drive applications

  • Strong customer focus and ability to build customer relationships as needed

  • Experience in product promotion, including coordination of Marketing activities and Marketing literature

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with ability to present topics to large groups, both internal and external.

  • Financial focus (profit – cash – EVA) with knowledge of motor pricing structure

  • Deep professional know-how and experience with extensive functional, commercial and/or technical knowledge.

  • Proven professional judgment and problem-solving competence.

  • Ability to improve existing processes and approaches.

  • Ability to Interpret and functionally influence policy and guidelines in their area of business/technology and develop processes and systems to deliver functional objectives.

  • Experience in planning own work according to targets agreed, within a quarterly up to an annual cycle, by coordinating resources in a project driven environment.

  • Ability to provide functional advice and guidance to colleagues and customers.

  • Proficient computer skills, MS Office proficiency, product configuration, Norwood ENG/OM tools and quotation process knowhow

Education and Experience

  • Engineering background and ANEMA motor experience, including large electric motor manufacturing/test expertise

  • Technical university/college degree in related field and 8-10 years’+ experience in Product Engineering, Application Engineering, or Product Management

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • API, NEMA MG1, and IEC norm knowledge

  • Knowledge of MLFB structure and option codes

  • Knowledge and/or experience with motor quotation tools (e.g. AGT, Automate, etc.)

  • Ability to read and understand drawing/documents/specifications

The pay range for this position is $97,500 - $167,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
