Position Summary
The Department of Neurosurgery is actively recruiting for a Research Technician I. The candidate will work closely with a neurosurgeon and actively participate in the management and execution of clinical research projects. Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in patient enrollment
  • Collecting and processing patient samples
  • Performing statistical analyses
  • Contributing to manuscript preparation for publication


Additionally, the candidate will gain exposure to various aspects of neurosurgical care through direct involvement in clinical research meetings and discussions.

This position is ideal for post-baccalaureate candidates interested in pursuing medicine, particularly those considering careers in neurosurgery, neurology or related fields. The opportunity is structured as a 1- to 2-year experience, during which the candidate will not only engage in research but also have the chance to observe neurosurgical procedures in the operating room and shadow in outpatient clinics.

This role provides valuable clinical and research experience, enhancing the candidate’s preparation for medical school or other advanced healthcare training.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires education in a specific field and at least one year of experience directly related to the research or the program.
  • US graduate with a BA or BSc in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Neurosciences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experiences in conducting scientific research preferred.
Physical Demands
Salary Range $37,000 - $39,000
Additional Salary Information The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate.
