Job Description

 
1 Fulltime Seasonal (H2A) job available 4/1/2024-11/10/2024. Duties: summer prune trees, planting trees, orchard maintenance, hand harvest apples, harvest apples on bin trailer, bin repair, hand thinning, Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts or transfer augers. Mix specified materials or chemicals and dump solutions, powders or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth and diseases, using hand sprayers. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production such as tractors, combines and irrigation equipment. Adjust, repair and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Summer prune trees,,tractor driving work, driving farm vehicles, bin repair, tree nursery work, hand thinning, orchard maintenance, picking up rocks, apple harvest using tractor to bring apples out of orchard, trimming trees, spraying & mowing using tractor. Operate trucks or other multi purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing whether on or off the farm to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday including on public roads to reach the farm fields; and or transport workers to the grocery store, bank or laundry facilities on an as needed basis. Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess an appropriate license, no one will be rejected for this position that does not possess a drivers license. Requirements: * Must have 3 months verifiable experience in described tasks. * Lifting requirement of 75 lbs. * Exposure to extreme temperatures, frequent stooping/bending, extensive pushing/pulling, extensive sitting/walking, and repetitive movements.
