Description

The Department of Family and Preventive Medicine at Emory University seeks a Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, Research in the Division of Family Medicine. A successful candidate will have:

  • Candidates with expertise and a strong interest in the prevention and management of chronic diseases, including cardiovascular disease; diabetes and obesity; health services; patient and provider outcomes; quality of care and clinical effectiveness; health disparities; and women's health
  • An established track record of scientific publications and research dissemination that includes local, regional, and national presentations at conferences and seminars 
  • A demonstrated track record in or potential for securing external grant awards from such agencies as the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Science Foundation, and other funding agencies
  • Mentor and supervise graduate and undergraduate students in research activities 
  • Engage in service activities within the department, institution, and broader scientific community

This position requires a MD, PhD, DrPH, or other appropriate doctoral degree in public health, health education, social and behavioral sciences or a health science related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
