At Crisp Kitchen & Juice you’ll find:

• Energizing, plant-rich, innovative and sustainably sourced food plus amazing pastured eggs and goat and sheep dairy along with mindfully sourced meats, fowl and fish.
• Chef-driven menus bursting with vibrant flavor, color and just plain deliciousness! Careful attention to detail and aesthetic presentation are key.
• Artisan and alternative-flour sourdough breads plus a wide variety of baked goods, many of which are surprisingly gluten free. Plus, our ‘hard to believe it’s not dairy’ plant-based ice creams.
• Creative combinations and inspiring flavors in our beverage offerings: bottled fresh-pressed juice, smoothies, coffee/espresso, tea, local craft beer, wine, cocktails, liquid desserts and apoptogenic tonics and elixirs.
• Real food with unsurpassed nutrition that everyone will feel great about putting into their body, whether they’re vegan or vegetarian, carnivore or omnivore! A robust online ordering platform, picnics to go, grab-and-go in store and eventual dine-in.
• In-house produced and packaged goods to stock our Market Provisions along with a robust lifestyle retail selection.
• Workshops and hosted events, currently via YouTube, Zoom and Instagram Live - and eventually in-house - are an important part of our community outreach and event programming.

Total Compensation:

Total Compensation Range: $21-$26 per hour

Key Elements of Barista Position:

• Actively promote a positive atmosphere and culture of excellence through leadership, teamwork, job knowledge, work ethic and flexibility.
• Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support operations
• Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
• Provide exemplary guest service from start to finish of customer visit; including but not limited to:
  • Greeting and welcoming all customers warmly
  • Learns the names of regular customers; remembering returning guests
  • Checking in with customers throughout their stay
  • Take orders from guests
  • Educate guests about menu options
  • Provide answers to questions and inquiries
  • Makes suggestions and recommendations

• Basic food preparation and service including but not limited to:
  • Adhering to recipes and presentation guidelines for food and beverage items
  • Making and serving hot and cold coffee, espresso, tea and specialty beverages
  • Serving baked goods
  • Opening and closing the espresso station and café

• Financial responsibilities:
  • Accounting for daily sales, opening and closing of registers, solving discrepancies
  • Makes change, ring transactions and issues receipts or tickets to clients
  • Records amounts received and prepare reports of transactions
  • Ensures meticulous money handling
• Other:
  • Maintains a clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing work environment by following health and safety guidelines and keeping equipment clean and in running order
  • Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly
  • Maintains inventory and restocks as needed
  • Be punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and open to learn and perform all aspects of CKJ operations
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement
  • Complete special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support operations

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Extremely reliable, dedicated and willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Food Handlers Card will be required within 7 days of hire
• Retail, hospitality, catering, or POS experience a plus but not required
• Basic computer skills in MS Office and POS/cash register and iPad experience a plus but not required
• Handles difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; solicits customer feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance
• Be passionate about our products, be engaging with a sense of humor
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
• Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently
• Willingness to embrace “continual improvement” of self and CKJ
• Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan
