Job Summary
This position is responsible leading the development of the supply chain bases and associated buyers ensuring delivery of materials as defined by the production schedule. Assists Sr. Manager Logistics to plan changes for assigned area and helps resolve issues when appropriate.

Job Functions (Essential)

Responsible for leading and supporting material planning team supplier development initiatives.
Responsible for strategic daily/weekly production planning to effectively schedule and manage change in the production schedule.
Responsible for ordering and scheduling part delivery in alignment with production schedule, informing scheduling and management of delivery issues. Prepares Purchase Orders and maintains Schedule Agreement delivery schedules to obtain materials.
Conducts strategic extensive follow-up activity to verify material shipment and receipt align and informs of pending issues.
Leads and provides training to personnel in Logistics areas as needed.
Supervise the coordination and implementation of Engineering Change Notices
Lead the tracking, investigation, and resolution of supplier on-time deliveries.
Responsible for following ERP procedures and the company's quality system.
Develop and lead supplier development program.
Lead the focus of suppliers who are not performing and support Material Planners with their challenging suppliers.
Involvement/introduction/transition of new suppliers with Strategic Purchasing and troubleshooting of part/supplier issues during the process.
Support expediting of HOT parts, process and daily prep.
Promotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct
Performs special projects as required

Qualifications:
Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Materials Management/Supply Chain Management and 5 years of supplier, materials management or planning/scheduling experience; or 9 years of supplier, materials management or planning/scheduling experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent understanding of computer applications and/or controlled systems.
Excellent level of analytical and problem solving ability.
Excellent level of interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
Excellent understanding of modern inventory management principles
Must be available to work all shifts and/or flexible hours
Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
Preferred:
Familiar with plant operations/equipment and engine related components
Familiar with low volume supplier challenges
Knowledge of job-related product information
SAP knowledge preferred
