Job DescriptionThe Hadlock lab is seeking a part-time temporary Research Associate.
The Research Associate I (computational) conducts standard computational techniques, including data analysis, modeling, storage, and archival in internal and external repositories. This role also utilizes various computational techniques and procedures to collect and compile datasets in support of experiments, and may be responsible for specific areas of research in collaboration with a scientist or other technicians' assignments.
Essential Duties:
Executes basic research plans and studies utilizing established scientific methods
Compiles, processes, and analyzes multiomics data
Manages data sharing according to privacy and ethics standards
Keeps detailed records of observations in lab and electronic notebooks & prepares technical reports
Collects, analyzes, and documents experimental results
Informs senior staff of inconsistencies or problems with projects or experiments
Supports development of computational modeling pipelines and experimental design
Attends seminars/meetings to enhance knowledge of company objectives
Required Education, Skills & Experience:
One or more year(s) of directly-related computational biology or bioinformatics work experience designing or implementing data analysis and modeling pipelines and developing/deploying software
A Bachelor's degree in information science, immunology, biology, chemistry, microbiology, or related field in a life sciences discipline
