Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital is a 35-bed rural acute care hospital located in Waimea (Kamuela), Hawaii Island. Responsibilities

 

JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Performs timekeeping and schedule input functions in coordination with all unit/department managers to ensure accurate timecard records.
•  Reviews and maintains accuracy of payroll and timekeeping data for payroll processing, documentation and records.
•  Performs duties in accordance with applicable bargaining agreements and policies and procedures as established by the department and the Hospital. 

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•  Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, bending, squatting, twisting body, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching above/at/below shoulder, repetitive arm/hand motions, frequent gripping of an object
•  Occasional: carrying usual weight of 10 pounds. 

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
•  Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. 
•  Subjected to noise and people walking through the department. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
•  High school diploma or equivalent.
•  Business school degree/certificate in accounting or bookkeeping highly preferred. 

EXPERIENCE:
•  Two (2) years administrative office work experience, preferably in payroll/scheduling in a comparable medical center. 
•  Experience to demonstrate:
  o  Ability to work with broad range of people.
  o  Ability to multi-task, meet deadline, and prioritize requests, projects, and routine responsibilities
•  Experience in Kronos payroll system highly desirable.
