Primary Responsibilities
HDR is seeking a Transportation Facilities Project Manager in the MN/WI area to design, pursue, lead and/or manage projects. This position will be located in St. Louis Park, MN with flexibility for a hybrid work week, balancing remote and office work.
The individual in this position may:
Plan, direct, and design a wide variety of multi-disciplinary facilities-related projects including maintenance facilities, mechanical shops, rest areas, fueling facilities, storage facilities, public works facilities, or buildings.
Will be a member of the Transportation team and will have the opportunity to support a mix of local and national projects dependent on workload and opportunities.
Directs the work of others in the completion of required studies, documents, and reports.
Experience or ability to conduct extensive agency/owner coordination, planning and programming, and working with multi-discipline teams are a must.
Support in the preparation of proposals and lead scope development and execution upon selection.
Have experience working with a variety of disciplines and project types.
Responsible to coordinate project staffing and workload management for a team of engineers and designers.
Perform other duties as needed
Transportation Facilities doesn't focus specifically on building projects. Projects can include infrastructure design, equipment replacement, platform stations, and open structures. An ideal candidate must be versatile in the type of projects they manage.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
10 years of relevant transportation facility experience which includes project management experience.
Professional registration.
Understand the operations of owners with needs for upgrades or expansion of facilities.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Strong desire to mentor and train staff.
Leadership skills and positive attitude a must.
Demonstrated commitment to teamwork.
Demonstrated ability to interact and collaborate within a large organization.

Preferred Qualifications
Relevant engineering experience in engineering and project management for public agencies, transit agencies, and railroads.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and personnel.
Solid business development skills with history of winning projects as the proposed project manager or task lead.
Demonstrated ability to relate well to clients.
Demonstrated presentation skills.
Familiarity with DOTs, transit agencies, or railroads.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
