Job Description

An employer in the San Diego area is looking for a Civil Engineering planner. The client supports residential land development. This position entails preparation of Tentative Maps and Site Plans, exhibits and Concept Land Plans from a desk using AutoCAD. As I mentioned to you before, our Planning Department is somewhat of a hybrid between Planning and Civil Engineering and our plans are on the technical side. Candidates could be either Civil Engineers or Planners.

Required Skills & Experience

- 1 year Civil CAD experience and/or advanced training in CAD

- Civil plan preparation in CAD, either planning or engineering.

- Experience in preparation of Tentative Maps and Site Plans, exhibits and Concept Land Plans

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- 1 year GIS experience and/or advanced GIS training

- Degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field.

- Land development experience - supporting residential or commercial land development projects

- Experience in AutoCAD doing Grading, Utility Plans, Hydraulics, hydrology,
