Job Description

PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR, Center for Transportation and Logistics (CTL), to join the MIT Sustainable Supply Chain Lab, a CTL research lab focused on supporting organizations to improve logistics and supply chain operations by creating applied and innovative research aimed at fostering growth while considering environmental and social sustainability.  Will manage the lab by leading connectivity with global corporations, NGOs, governments, and philanthropic associations while organizing and managing its administrative duties.  CTL conducts research, outreach, and educational activities with a number of different companies/organizations/governments and has expanded its scope to solve the urgent challenges of climate change and social inequality.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor's degree in business administration, management, engineering, project management, finance, communications, marketing, information, or related field; three years’ work experience in project management, public relations, finance, or related area; excellent project management, organizational, collaboration, presentation, and communication skills; experience planning and executing complex events/meetings and effectively engaging with corporations, associations, and other stakeholders; and proficiency with word-processing (e.g. Word), data manipulation (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI), and web-based software (e.g., WordPress) and social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, FB).  Seek a self-motivated individual who can manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results; write and communicate technical research to a variety of audiences; and lead and influence senior executives, including those without direct reporting relationships.  PREFERRED: master’s in business administration; coursework/certificate in sustainability, ideally in relation to supply chain issues; experience working on sustainability topics, specifically those related to supply chain and Scope 3 emissions; and experience working with governments to implement policies related to sustainability topics.  Job #23935-8
