How Is This Role Important to Our Work?
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Health Design & Sustainability team. The successful candidate will work with our team to research and find opportunities to improve member health outcomes and make healthcare more affordable. They will design and implement new ideas through an agile product-led model, evaluate the performance of new products, and report outcomes through written, verbal, and visual mediums. If you are a current or recent college undergraduate or graduate student with education or work experience in healthcare, public health, or social work, and have demonstrated project management, interpersonal, and computer skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity! The position is full-time (40 hours/week) for a three-month internship, during the summer months or up to 6 months (June - Dec) in a part-time capacity.
The intern will work with the Health Design & Sustainability team to:

Research and analyze data to identify opportunities that improve member health outcomes and make health care more affordable

Design and implement new ideas through an agile product-led model

Evaluate performance of new products and report outcomes through written, verbal and visual mediums and presentations

Identify process improvement opportunities and create operational efficiencies
Required Skills and Experiences:

Current or recent college undergraduate or graduate student

Demonstrated project management experience or related organization skills

Demonstrated interpersonal skills working with cross-functional groups of people

Demonstrated ability to work with abstract or complex concepts, remain flexible as tasks change quickly, and complete assignments on time

Demonstrated personal computer skills (MS Office)

Willingness to take initiative and learn new concepts and technical skills

Capability to work in a hybrid environment, both at home and onsite with occasional local travel for meetings
Nice to Have:

Education and/or work experience in health care, public health, or social work

Education and/or work experience in product design, business, and evaluation
