Job Description:
Responsibilities are:
Meet needs of the residents
Provide residents ADL's; Dressing, Grooming (hair care, foot care, shaving, etc.) Bathing, Feeding and Toileting/Changing.
Performing perineal care
Transferring/Lifting Residents; Hoyer & Easy Stand Lifts
Assist residents with ambulation.
Turning and positioning residents
Active and Passive range of motion, as needed
Provide oral and dental care
Measuring intake and output
Assist residents at mealtime, as needed
Laundry and Light Housekeeping
Manage your own time with the purpose of completing assigned duties
Shift Leader; Monitor the nursing assistants working on your shift
Pass Medication; Meds, Blood Sugars, Insulin, Inhalers, Suppositories, Eye Drops, ect.
Count and Pass Narcotics
Monitor Vitals and Neuros as needed
Collect data and report any changes in resident status to the nurse on call
Receive Report, pass required information to Shift TMA and other staff in a timely fashion with professionalism.
Documentation; progress notes, flow sheets, Bathroom charting, Walking list, ect.
Accountability to your shift, to your TMA and Nurses.
Maintain confidentiality of residents and staff information.
Follow and abide by the Employee Handbook.
