Job Description: |
Need 1 full time, temporary, seasonal Farm Workers to work in Milan, MN. From: 03/01/2025 to 12/17/2025 Work: 40 hrs./week As required in Minnesota, all hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at time and a half. Wage increase or bonus may be possible depending on experience and merit. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.

JOB DUTIES: Operating tractors, skid steer loaders and other farm equipment to till soil and harvest crops; driving trucks to transport grain to elevator or storage area (non CDL required); operating equipment for field maintenance; performing work with grain bins in the form of running grain vacuums, grain sweeps, loading grain into trucks, shoveling grain, and perform housekeeping duties to ensure that storage locations are properly maintained; and operating equipment for upkeep of the shop grounds. Manual labor in the form of sweeping and upkeep of farm shop areas, performing miscellaneous maintenance and repair, performing upkeep of areas around the farm, cleaning and servicing equipment, using hand tools and equipment to repair farm equipment and facilities will be required. Daily duties may vary depending on crop weather and field conditions. Increase or bonus may be possible depending on tenure and performance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: (3) months experience; able to lift 50 lbs.; valid Driver's License, possible criminal background check post hire at employer's expense to ensure safety of workers and security of equipment; possible random drug test post hire at employer's expense to ensure safety of employees and the public, testing positive will result in immediate termination of employment; no minimum education level required. Job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive sitting or walking and repetitive movements.
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
