Our front end is the last place our customers visit, their final point of contact during their shopping trip. It's where we have an opportunity to leave a lasting impression by providing friendly and courteous service as they complete their orders. What You'll Do: Provide friendly and attentive customer service as you oversee the day to day operations of the front end and supervise front end associates/cashiers. You'll cultivate and maintain excellent customer relations and service levels, and ensure a friendly, professional, and well-organized image for the front end, vestibule, and parking lot. You'll handle selection, training, development, and scheduling of cashiers/front end associates, and ensure proper product handling and that all legal/regulatory aspects of the front end are followed (i.e. alcohol/tobacco sales, WIC, food stamps). Job Type Full-time Job Requirements Ideally, you'll have previous related retail/customer service and supervisory experience. You'll need to be friendly and courteous in order to provide excellent customer service, be able to work in a fast paced environment, and have the ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions. Excellent communication and organization/prioritization skills, basic computer skills and/or the ability to learn how to operate a cash register, scanner, telephone system, and scale, and the ability to handle money and other forms of payment are also important. Department Managers will need to be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
