Required Skills: | We need someone with: • 2-5 years of proven patent prosecution and/or trademark experience REQUIRED; • Strong knowledge of intellectual property law and procedures; • Proficiency in IP legal drafting; • Strong computer skills, with experience in document management systems (ProLaw is desirable); • Excellent proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail; • Good communication skills, both written and verbal; • Strong organizational skills; • Problem solving ability; • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced team environment as well as work independently at times; • Effective time management skills; • A self-starter attitude; • Client focus as number one. |

Job Description: |
We are seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Paralegal to join our team. As an Intellectual Property Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team in all aspects of intellectual property law. This is a full-time, hybrid position (based in our office a few days a week, work-from-home the rest).
Main functions of the position include (but are not limited to): • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information; • Handles correspondence from the clients, corresponds with clients regarding the status of applications, and develops and maintains good client relationships; • Understands patent prosecution procedures and has knowledge of the U.S. and foreign Patent Office rules; • Conducts searches and researches prior art; • Handles IDSes; • Assists Attorneys in drafting and reviewing patent and trademark applications for filing; • Reviews communications from patent offices and works with internal Attorneys to prepare drafts of responses; • Calculates estimates of filing costs; • Handles and monitors the patent and trademark docket, and keeps it up-to-date in the internal document management system (ProLaw); • Works closely with attorneys, other paralegals, central docketing, and other firm staff; • Meets billing goals;
