Schedule: Per Diem / PRN , Must be available at least 4 shifts a month which requires availability on weekends, Flexibility needed, shifts may be anywhere from as early as 5a to as late as 8pm / 8- or 9-hour shifts.

The community you’ll be caring for:

AdventHealth Parker is a Level II Trauma Center that serves our community by providing excellent, community-focused health care. Since we opened our doors in 2004, we have grown into a regional medical center. In 2017, we received the designation of a Magnet Recognized Hospital. In 2018, we became one of the only five hospitals in the nation, and the only hospital in Colorado, to receive Joint Commission Certification for Bariatrics. We have 170 Licensed beds, 23 Emergency Department private rooms, and 13 surgical suites.

The role you'll contribute:

Follows at menu to prepare and cook food for patients, visitors and staff members. Responsible for following Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Safe Handling Guidelines regarding food safety and sanitation. Will provide excellent customer services when working with patients, visitors and other staff members. Provides oversight and training to staff.

The value you'll bring to the team:

· Cooks all foods according to the standardized recipes.

· Prepares food items according to patient specific restrictions and established schedules.

· Maintain adequate supply of hot and cold items required for cafeteria, patient and unit stocking.

· Prepares food for institutional functions, both standard and special.

· Demonstrates ability to operate commercial food preparation equipment.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

Required:

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to read write and speak English, basic computer skills.

Preferred:

  • Culinary training.

  • High School Diploma OR GED.

  • Experience in hospital food service setting.

  • CPFS Food Service Safe Certification
