Job Description

SUMMARY

The Sr DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure is a technical expert responsible for designing, provisioning, and managing the foundational infrastructure that supports the software development lifecycle involving cloud infrastructure, networking, and storage management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Works closely with the technical and support teams to deliver and manage services with high uptime
Design, implement, and ensure scalability and high availability of cloud solutions
Advocate for automated processes to improve quality, deployment, and support of multiple products
Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes for infrastructure issues
Builds new environments and updates existing environments through use of automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Maintain cloud infrastructure for multiple products and services across multiple cloud providers
Implement cloud integrations with 3rd Party SaaS infrastructure

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive little instruction on day-to-day work, general instruction on new assignments. Work can be broad in nature

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Typically 5 to 7 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.
Experience monitoring, maintaining and designing highly resilient cloud infrastructure.
Proven track record of working as part of a team across multiple cross-functional groups.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Scripting and debugging in programming languages like python, ruby, perl and shell scripts.
Experience with configuration management tools (saltstack/puppet/chef/etc.)
Strong understanding of fundamental networking concepts.
Available for occasional off-hours work and 24/7 rotational on-call responsibilities.
Experience working in agile environments, continuous deployment/delivery, and system automation tools.
Experience with EKS or AKS a plus.
Additional relevant training courses (from colleges, universities, conferences or corporate) are a plus.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

AWS Solutions Architect a plus
Azure Solutions Architect a plus

COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES)

Strong fundamentals in Powershell or other scripting language
Prior exposure to Git
Working knowledge of Cloud implementations in AWS or Azure
Good ability to derive and design technical specifications from general product requirements
Advanced ability to remain current on new technology within the software industry
Advanced ability to problem solve/diagnose in a technical space
Good technical knowledge of broad business areas
Work independently; receive minimal guidance
Professional maturity in delivering difficult messages in a professional and empathetic manner
Good negotiating skills
Use skills to resolve complex issues in effective ways
Act as a resource for colleagues; may direct the work of other staff members

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location.

However, the pay range for this position is as follows.
$102,400.00 - $190,100.00
